National Underage Leagues Player of the Month Awards announced for July and AugustSat, Sep 18 2021
With the National Leagues in full flight across six age groups, the FAI have announced that there will be a monthly award to highlight outstanding individual performances. Each winner will receive an engraved award to recognise their performances each month.
In the U19 Women’s National League, Peamount United’s Michelle Doohan, who recorded a hat-trick against Sligo Rovers, picked up the award for July. Cork City’s Laura Shine won the award for August.
In the U17 Women’s National League, once again a Peamount United player secured the July award. Scarlett Herron helped her side complete four wins from four and also chipped in with a hat-trick along the way. Treaty United’s Michaela Lawrence claimed the August award as the Limerick side secured second place in Group C.
In the U19 League of Ireland, Cobh Rambers Fionn Duggan was the July winner as his side recorded four Group A wins and one draw. For August, Aidomo Emakhu of Shamrock Rovers was awarded the honour.
In the U17 League of Ireland, Darragh Dunne (St.Patrick’s Athletic) claimed the July award with the August prize going to Sam Norval (Waterford)
Trent Kone Doherty (Derry City) was the winner of the July U15 League of Ireland award with Freddie Turley (Shamrock Rovers) picking up the prize for August.
In the U14 League of Ireland, Sean Moore (Bohemians) was the July winner with Cathal O’Sullivan (Cork City) winning August award.
