Treaty Utd handed big FAI Cup tie at home to Dundalk as Galway travel to Tallaght to take on Shamrock Rovers

First Division Treaty United have been handed a home tie against Dundalk in the first-round of the FAI Cup.

The Shannonsiders find themselves well in the playoff race in the second-tier after a remarkable start to the 2021 season.

It is likely that they will take on the Lilywhites who will be in the midst of their European ties against either FCI Levadia or St Joseph’s in the Europa Conference League.

Meanwhile, John Caulfield’s promotion chasing Galway United have been handed a difficult draw away to Shamrock Rovers.

The Tribesmen are nine points behind Shels in the First Division title race after winning each of their games since the mid-season break.

Shelbourne themselves will face fellow First Division rivals from the capital UCD, whereas Bohemians face a trip to take on Munster Senior League side College Corinthians.

Sligo Rovers will face Cork City at home, Bray Wanderers face a trip to Richmond Park to take on St Patrick’s Athletic and Athlone Town host Waterford.

Leinster Senior League outfit Bangor GG will take on Longford Town, while Derry City await a trip to Head in the Game Park to take on Drogheda United.

Limerick junior side Fairview Rangers will host Finn Harps, while an all non-league clash between St Kevin’s Boys and Kilnamanagh awaits.
