Watch: Michael Duffy scores as Dundalk seal comfortable aggregate victory over Newtown
Michael Duffy’s goal on the break saw Dundalk ease to a 1-0 victory over Welsh minnows Newtown in the Europa Conference League this evening.
The former Derry City winger’s goal on the counter-attack sealed an easy 5-0 aggregate win over the Welsh side.
Newtown were able to welcome a number of their first-team players back after a Covid-19 ravaged their squad before the first-leg at Oriel Park, but it mattered little as they lost again.
David McMillan burst through the Newtown defence before finding Duffy with an expert ball.
The lively winger brought the ball to the left-side of the goal before unleashing a low effort on goal, beating keeper Dave Jones at his near-post.
No stopping Duffy! There was only going to be one outcome
