CORK CITY

The Rebels will be looking to leapfrog rivals Cobh Ramblers when they host Treaty United at Turners Cross on Friday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

Colin Healy’s side currently sit in ninth place in the First Division with just three wins to their name and with no home victory since their May 7 route of Wexford.

Last week City succumbed to a 2-1 loss at Tolka Park, Cian Murphy scored for the Rebels in between goals by Michael O’Connor and Ryan Brennan to keep the Reds cruising at the top of the First Division table.

With Treaty United vying to remain in the top three, this could be another challenging night for Colin Healy’s men.

TREATY UNITED

United have been having a great season up to this points and they still find themselves in the mix towards the top of the table.

They had been on a three game winnings streak heading into last weekend’s fixtures but a resurgent Galway United put an end to that with a Padraic Cunningham goal making the difference in Limerick on the night.

A return to winning ways is a must for Tommy Barrett’s side if they want to keep battling for those top positions and his team should be confident having defeated Cork City earlier this season.

Anthony O’Donnell and Matt Keane scored in that 2-1 win for Treaty United in April with Cian Coleman scoring for the Rebels.
