Premier Division Round-Up: Rovers held at home to Drogheda as Chris Shields bows out in Dundalk's win over Derry City
Shamrock Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Drogheda United in front of 1,000 fans at Tallaght Stadium.
The Hoops took a first-half lead though Graham Burke’s spot-kick after the Irish international made the most of a penalty won by Sean Gannon.
But Burke would be punished after being adjudged to have taken down Darragh Markey – with Chris Lyons scoring to level the game to earn Tim Clancy's side a point.

Chris Shields spell as a Dundalk player came to an end this evening as the Lilywhites ran out 2-1 winners over Derry City.
Daniel Kelly opened the scoring for Vinny Perth’s side before their lead was doubled just before the hour-mark by Patrick Hoban’s penalty.
Eoin Toal halved the deficit shortly after but it was not to be as the Candystripes fell to a rare defeat under their new boss.
What a send off.

Ten-man St Patrick’s Athletic held a resurgent Waterford to a 1-1 draw at the RSC this after playing over 70 minutes of the game with ten-men.
Alfie Lewis was dismissed in the 18th minute after the Athletic had taken the lead through Matty Smith in the 8th minute.
And Shane Griffin then scored what proved to be the leveller just before the break – but the Blues could not find a winner in the South-East.

Meanwhile, Longford Town and Finn Harps played out a 1-1 draw at Finn Park this evening in Ballybofey.
Longford took a fortuitous lead with a hint of offside – as Aaron Dobbs slotted home early on.
But Town’s lead did not last long as Tunde Owolabi scored moments later.
Harps had chances to win the game – none more so than Barry McNamee who had his penalty saved by Town keeper Lee Steacy.
Controversy at Finn Park?
