Bohs and Sligo receive Icelandic Euro dates, while Dundalk will take on Welsh side Newtown

Bohemians and Sligo Rovers have been handed European ties against two Icelandic sides in the first qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.

The Gypsies will take on Stjarnan, while the Bit O’Red will face FH Hafnarfjordur in their respective clash.

Both Starjnan and FH have played League of Ireland clubs in European competition previously.

FH played Dundalk in 2016 – with the Lilywhites running out dramatic winners on their way to the Europa League Group Stages.

Starjnan also played Shamrock Rovers in recent times – and they fell to defeat against the Hoops in 2017.

Rovers won that tie 2-0 on aggregate with Gary Shaw setting the Hoops on their with a 1-0 win away from home.

Graham Burke also netted in the second-leg at Tallaght Stadium to see them home.

Meanwhile, Dundalk will take on Welsh side Newtown in their Europa Conference League tie.

The Lilywhites will be looking to put their poor domestic form behind them when they welcome the Welsh side to Oriel Park in their first-leg clash.

The ties are due to take place on July 8th and July 15th next month.

Elsewhere, Northern Irish sides Glentoran, Larne and Coleraine have been handed ties against TNS, Bala Town and FK Velez respectively.
