Aaron O'Driscoll to remain on loan at Longford Town until the end of the season

Aaron O’Driscoll is to stay on loan at Longford Town until the end of the 2021 Premier Division season.

The Mansfield Town loanee has been a revelation since joining Longford from the UK – despite the Red and Black’s lowly league position.

The former Cherry Orchard schoolboy has played in all 14 of Longford’s games this season.

Prior to joining Longford, O’Driscoll had played for Manchester City’s youth set-up before then making the move to Southampton.

After a stint at St Mary’s on England’s South Coast – O’Driscoll made the move to Mansfield Town where he has made three competitive appearances for the club.

He signed under former boss Graham Coughlan, but Coughlan was relieved of his duties in October – two months after O’Driscoll joined.

Nigel Clough is their current boss and O’Driscoll has played twice under his new manager at the club.

But prior to joining Longford, O’Driscoll had not played a competitive game in almost three months.

He remains at Longford Town until the season after Joe Gorman left the club a few weeks ago.
