BOHEMIANS

Bohemians will be looking to build on Monday’s thumping 5-1 win over Dundalk when they host Waterford at Dalymount Park (kick-off is at 4pm).

The Gypsies win over the Lilywhites was helped in no small part by Georgie Kelly who netted a perfect hat-trick for Keith Long’s charges.

Tyreke Wilson also got on the scoresheet – despite being sent off – while Promise Omochere also bagged his first league goal for club.

“It's pleasing, some of the football we're playing is really, really good stuff,” Long said after Monday’s win.

“I absolutely believe that the team can continue to grow, get better and improve, and every time we get on to that pitch, we need to try to improve.

“We're not happy with what's been and gone. We want to raise the standard of performance every time we go onto the pitch.

“I think we've got some good footballers; their game IQ is good, and I think tonight we showed the quality we have in the team.”

In terms of team news, Stephen Mallon may feature off the bench after an injury, while doubts remain over the fitness of both Keith Buckley and Rob Cornwall who missed out on Monday.

WATERFORD

Marc Bircham brings his Waterford side to Dalymount Park on Saturday afternoon as he searches for his first league win as manager of the Blues.

Bircham’s charges fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Finn Harps in their last league outing at the RSC.

The Blues did in fact take the lead in that game against Ollie Horgan’s side, but they were eventually pegged back and overtaken by Harps.

The result saw them remain behind Longford Town who sit above them in the league table.

In terms of team news for Waterford, the South-East outfit are expected to welcome a number of their players back to the fold after a Covid-19 outbreak played havoc with their last couple of games.

Referee: Graham Kelly.
