League Preview: Cabinteely -v- Cobh Ramblers

CABINTEELY

Cabinteely will be looking to build on there good win against Athlone Town on Friday night as they welcome Cobh Ramblers to Stradbrook on Friday night (kick-off at 7.45pm).

Goals from Niall Barnes and Ben Henrahan secured the three points for the Dublin side at the Co. Westmeath venue last week.

After giving Athlone Town there first defeat of the season last week assistant manager Eddie Gormley and is positive that Cabinteely can build on their impressive win last week.

“It was a great win last week. But we are under no illusion that it is going to be a very tough game against Cobh. They have a nice mix of experienced and young players.”

“We are looking to build on last week’s result. All we can do is prepare well; train as best as we can and see what happens in the game.”

COBH RAMBLERS

Cobh are sitting 8th in the table at the moment having picked up just one win this season so far as they beat Wexford 2-1 back in April.

Their latest result however did not favour them kindly as John Caulfield’s Galway beat them 4-0.

Ramblers currently have the second worst disciplinary record in the league with 14 yellows and 1 red something which maybe is something that manager Stuart Ashton maybe need to try and improve for the coming months.

Ciaran Griffin would be the main dangerman for Ramblers with 2 goals to his name so far this season along with John Kavanagh and Lee Devitt chipping in with some assists so far this season.
