Former Bohs winger Danny Grant suffers injury setback at Huddersfield Town

Former Bohemians winger Danny Grant is expected to remain on the side-line with injury at his new club Huddersfield Town.

This comes as Grant had been stepping up his recovery in recent weeks – but the Ireland under-21 international has suffered a setback.

Grant joined Huddersfield from Bohs in December – ending a three-year long stint with the Gypsies’ first-team.

Since joining the Terriers, Grant has struggled with injury – and he has yet to play for his new club.

He was due to make his Huddersfield debut in January’s FA Cup fixture versus Plymouth before being ruled out.

In recent weeks, Grant was accelerating his return from injury – but Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan has said that Grant will remain out as he 'continues his process of receovery'.

“Danny Grant continues his process of recovery,” Corberan said during his press conference this afternoon.

“He played some games with the under-23s and felt something in his hamstring.

“He's an explosive player and they have the risk to suffer these injuries.

“I don't expect to have him working with the team this year.”
