Former Bray Wanderers player Shane Flynn signs new deal with Premier League side Leicester City

Dublin teenager Shane Flynn has signed a new deal with Premier League side Leicester City after impressing at the King Power Stadium in recent months.

The 19-year-old is a product of the St Joseph’s Boys and Bray Wanderers partnership – joining the Foxes in July 2018.

While at Bray, the Leopardstown native made one appearance in the Premier Division before moving on to Leicester.

His sole senior competitive game for the Seagulls came in their 4-0 defeat away to Cork City at Turners Cross.

He was brought on as a late second-half sub for the then Graham Kelly managed side.

Since arriving at the 2016/17 Premier League Champions – Flynn has played for Leicester at under-18 and under-23 level.

In recent months, the young full-back scored an equaliser against Salford City in the EFL Trophy to take the game to penalties, which the Foxes subsequently won.

He has also been named on the bench in a Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League.  

He was also part of Leicester’s Europa League squads earlier this season.
