McPhilbin swaps Galway for Athlone Town ahead of WNL season

Ria McPhilbin has joined Athlone Town ahead of the 2021 Women’s National League season.
The goalkeeper joins Athlone after spending three seasons with Galway having joined the club’s Under 17 side in 2018.
McPhilbin has also played for Galway Hibernians and Salthill Devon, as well as representing Galway Town.
The teenager is Tommy Hewitt’s second signing in recent days with Laurie Ryan also committing to the club this week.

Ria has an extended soccer career for her age, she has played for numerous clubs including Galway Hibernians, Salthill Devon, Galway Town, Galway WFC U17s and Seniors. While winning countless trophies she has also represented Ireland. pic.twitter.com/CUI6KF2BXX
