Thompson, Kinnevey and Mullins all re-sign for Galway ahead of 2021 WNL season

Aoife Thompson, Therese Kinnevey and Tessa Mullins have all re-signed with Galway WFC ahead of the 2021 Women’s National League Season.

Thompson has been with Galway since 2018 when she signed from Cregmore FC. She is a Republic of Ireland Under 19 international having represented her country against Turkey in 2018.

The striker was Galway’s joint top scorer last season equalling Lynsey McKey’s tally of 9 goals in 2020.

Kinnevey has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under 17 and Under 19 level, and she joined Galway from local side Oughterard.

The defender was part of the Galway side that won the WNL Under 17 League and Cup double in 2019. She made her senior debut for the club in 2020.

Mullins brings great experience to Billy Clery’s side having first joined Galway for the 2013/14 WNL season.

The 28 year old scored 3 times for Galway last season.

The Galway Girls being their 2021 WNL campaign when they welcome Cork City to Eamonn Deacy Park on Saturday, March 27 (kick-off 2pm).
