Kevin Knight commits to the Cabo cause for 2021 as Deane Watters and Jordan Payne also join

Cabinteely full-back Kevin Knight has re-signed for Cabinteely ahead of the 2021 season.

In addition, the Green and White’s have recruited Deane Watters and Jordan Payne from Warrenpoint and Bluebell United respectively.

Watters and Payne played for Cabo during their 2-1 friendly over Longford Town on Sunday afternoon.

28-year-old Knight has played 107 times for Cabinteely since making his first-team debut for the club in March 2015.

Kevin is the brother of current Republic of Ireland international Jason and he has also represented the Boys in Green at underage level.

Watters joins Cabinteely from Warrenpoint in the Northern Irish top-flight and is also previously of Dundalk’s under-19 side.

The 22-year-old played for Warrenpoint until July 2020 before leaving the Point.

Payne also links up with the South Dubliners after a recent stint with Leinster Senior League side Bluebell United.

The former Republic of Ireland underage international is a forward and is likely to add some reinforcements to Pat Devlin’s front line.
