Dundalk unveil signing of American forward Jesus 'Chino' Perez

FAI Cup holders Dundalk have confirmed the acquisition of American forward Jesus ‘Chino’ Perez ahead of the 2021 season.

The 23-year-old was on trial with the Lilywhites last season, but he did not end up signing a contract with the club.

The forward was the 22nd pick in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft last year for New York City FC.

However, he was not kept on by the MLS side and would later end up signing for USL Championship side Tacoma Defiance.

Perez was unveiled by the Oriel Park outfit just before this afternoon’s friendly victory over Bohemians.

The Lilywhites won the game by two goals to one after falling behind earlier in the game.

Perez joins Taner Dogan in committing to the Dundalk cause for 2021.

Dogan signed his new deal with the club on February 22nd.
