Kim Flood returns to WNL with Wexford Youths

Kim Flood has joined Wexford Youths ahead of the 2021 Women’s National League season.

The midfielder joins Tom Elmes’ side from Dublin team St Patrick’s CYFC.

Flood previously played for Castlebar Celtic in the WNL and was part of the side that were defeated 3-2 by Raheny United in the 2013 WFAI Cup Final.

In recent years the versatile athlete has spent time with Dublin GAA and Ireland Rugby.

"I'm finding pre-season tough but very enjoyable,” Flood told the club’s website.

“It's great to be back in a professional setup and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to train and play.”

Youths begin their 2021 season at home to current WNL Champions Peamount United on Saturday 27th of March.
