Cobh Ramblers have announced the signing of former Republic of Ireland and Canada underage international Corey Chambers for the 2021 First Division season.

The goalkeeper makes the move after spending the 2020 season with Cabinteely where he made 17 appearances as the side finished 7th in the First Division.

“I’m delighted to be on-board with Ramblers this season,” Chambers told the club’s website.

“It’s a great club with a fantastic squad coming together. I’m really looking forward to the start of the season and helping the club hopefully gain promotion to the Premier Division.”

Chambers League of Ireland career began in 2015 when he signed for Bray Wanderers in 2015 before making the move to Waterford in 2016.

The 23 year old joined Wexford in August 2016 before departing for a scholarship in America midway through the following year.

He returned to Wexford in 2018 before signing for Cabinteely ahead of the 2020 League of Ireland season.
