Danske Bank Premiership Round-Up: Coleraine maintain winning streak as ex-UCD and Bohs forward Ryan Swan nets in Warrenpoint's win over Portadown

In-form Coleraine secured their sixth win on the spin on Saturday afternoon as they saw off Crusaders at home.

Stephen Lowry’s 88th minute winner saw off the Crues who took a 17th minute lead through Jamie McGonigle.

Curtis Allen levelled matters for Coleraine just past the hour mark. It would remain locked at one goal apiece until Lowry’s late winner – a goal that sees Coleraine move to within six points of the top of the table.

Meanwhile, ex-Cabinteely defender Conor Keeley made his debut for Ballymena United in their 2-0 win away to Carrick Rangers.

Paul McElroy and Jude Winchester both netted for United who won their second league game on the spin.

Former UCD and Bohemians forward Ryan Swan got his name on the scoresheet this afternoon as Warrenpoint Town won 2-0 away to Portadown.

Brandon Doyle opened the scoring for the visitors in the 65th minute before Swan’s header made sure of all three points in the 83rd minute.

Cliftonville clinched a late point at home to Glenavon this afternoon as Ryan Curran produced the goods for the Reds in the 89th minute.

The Reds found themselves behind thanks to Daniel Purkis’ spot-kick just past the hour mark.

But Purkis’ penalty was not enough to seal a win for Gary Hamilton’s side who were pegged back at the death by Curran’s equaliser.

And on Friday evening, Larne were held by Glentoran at Inver Park, despite finishing the game with ten-men.

Larne took a first-half lead through Jeff Hughes in the 24th minute, but they were pegged by the Glens in the 47th minute as Robbie McDaid fired home.

But Larne could not find a winner, and ended up completing the game with just ten-men as Andrew Scott was given his marching orders in second-half injury time.
