Former St Pats and Galway United striker Jake Keegan joins Forward Madison

Former St Patrick’s Athletic and Galway United forward Jake Keegan has joined USL League 1 side Forward Madison from Greenville Triumph.

Keegan played for the Saints during the 2018 season before making the move to Greenville in January 2019.

While at Richmond Park, he scored nine league goals in 32 games for the Athletic.

That stint at Inchicore of course followed his previous stint at Galway in 2014 and 2015 – where he made 63 league appearances for the Tribesmen.

While at Eamonn Deacy Park, Keegan scored 28 goals for the club.

However, Keegan is hopeful that he can start scoring goals as soon as possible at his new club.

“I think having expectations is good,” Keegan said. “If you come into a place and no one expects anything from you, it’s a lot harder to have success.

“It’s an exciting time for the club because we have a chance to re-create the on-field culture, and I hope I’m a big part of that.”
