Former Saints goalkeeper Tyson Farago joins Canadian Premier League side Cavalry

Former St Patrick’s Athletic goalkeeper Tyson Farago has joined Canadian top-flight side Cavalry FC.

Farago played for the Athletic during the 2018 season, making four competitive appearances for the club.

He made three league appearances, while his other game for the Saints came in a penalty shootout defeat in the EA Sports Cup at the hands of Dundalk.

Since leaving Richmond Park, the 29-year-old has played for Valour FC during the inaugural Canadian Premier League season in 2019.

Farago made 16 league appearances for FC Valour during his time, and he now joins Cavalry who were founded in 2018.

“I want to thank the Cavalry organization for giving me this opportunity,” Farago said after joining his new club.

“They have been a model franchise in the Canadian Premier League, and I am honoured to be a part the great culture they have established.”
