Dundalk have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Serbian SuperLiga club FK Cuckaricki for the transfer of Stefan Colovic for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder made a total of 25 appearances at Oriel Park after arriving from Proleter Novi Sad last February.
The Serbian made his debut in a 3-0 away win over Finn Harps in Ballybofey.
The 26-year-old scored his only goal for the Lilywhites in a 3-1 defeat away to Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds in August.
Colovic made four appearances during Dundalk’s Europa League campaign, including two substitute appearances against Arsenal.
Dundalk said on their website, “Everyone at Dundalk would like to thank Stefan for his efforts last season and we wish him all the best in the future.”
NoneKarl Sheppard: 'We were behind Dundalk for years. They were a fantastic team and we finally pipped them in the cup and then the double. Those 18 months were a fantastic feeling, to have at last put one over them.'https://t.co/0bimKupmMg pic.twitter.com/BgbrjA5dXF
