Athlone Town complete signing of midfielder Jack Watson from Bray Wanderers

First Division Athlone Town have unveiled the signing of midfielder Jack Watson from Bray Wanderers.

The 24-year-old joins Athlone having spent the 2020 campaign with Bray Wanderers following a prior stint at Cabinteely.

During his time at the Carlisle Grounds, Watson helped propel Bray to a title challenge, but they were pipped to the title by Drogheda United.

The former UCD player joins Athlone on the same day that the club have announced the signing of former Drogheda United winger Adam Wixted.

Watson began his career at Arklow Town, before joining Shamrock Rovers B. He would later depart the club after they left the league to join UCD.

After a spell in Belfield, he would join Pat Devlin at Cabinteely where he would spend three years at Stradbrook before linking up with Bray ahead of the 2020 season.
