Dundalk re-sign full-back Cameron Dummigan for 2021

FAI Cup holders Dundalk have clinched the re-signing of full-back Cameron Dummigan ahead of the 2021 campaign.

Dummigan re-signs for Filippo Giovagnoli’s charges after helping them to the Europa League Group Stages and FAI Cup crown in 2020.

He joins Sean Murray, Daniel Kelly and David McMillan who have all re-signed for the club in recent days.

Cameron is a defender from Northern Ireland who began his career in the youth set up at Cliftonville before joining the youth system at Burnley in 2012.

He was included in the first-team squad in the summer of 2014 and had a loan spell at Oldham Athletic in 2015.

The now 24-year-old signed a permanent deal with Oldham in August 2016 but left the club in March 2019 to sign for Vinny Perth at Dundalk.

Cameron went on loan with Crusaders in February 2020 but made just one appearance before Covid-19 halted the NIFL season.

He would return to Dundalk in July 2020 as the League of Ireland prepared to relaunch after their own hiatus.
