Muireann Devaney signs for Athlone Town

Athlone Town have boosted their 2021 WNL squad with the impressive signing of Muireann Devaney.
Devaney arrives to the Midlanders from Sligo where she was named U17 Player of the Year.
She has played internationally for the Irish U16 and U17 Women, including playing the full game during Ireland U17's 10-0 win over Albania last year.
Athlone said in a statement that they were delighted that Devaney had chosen to sign with them "after receiving offers from a number of FAI WNL clubs."
