Ireland under-21 winger Danny Grant completes Huddersfield move for an undisclosed fee

Republic of Ireland under-21 international Danny Grant has completed his move to English Championship side Huddersfield Town.

Grant joins the Terriers for an undisclosed fee after confirming his Bohemians departure earlier this week.

The former Bangor Celtic youngster made 60 appearances for the Gypsies during a four-year stint at Dalymount Park – scoring 14 goals.

He was recently crowned as the PFAI Premier Division Young Player of the Year. He will now join Huddersfield Town who are in 12th position in the Championship in England.

“We’re delighted to welcome Danny to the Club today, and to begin working with him,” Huddersfield Head of Football Operations Leigh Bromby said.

“He’s an exciting player who has the potential to really develop here.”

Bromby added: “The step up to the Sky Bet Championship will be significant for Danny, and he will begin that development in training with the B Team alongside the First Team squad.

“His task is to emulate the likes of Josh Koroma, who has really developed with us on the training pitches before coming into our team and making a big impact on our team and the division.”
