Galway United have announced the departure of Marc Ludden, Sam Warde, Cian Murphy and Micheal Schlingermann.

Schlingermann has already been announced as an Athlone Town player while the remaining three have been unable to commit to full-time football for the new campaign.

The club wished the four players well in their future careers and were appreciative of their services while playing for Galway United.

Marc Ludden, who played with United for seven seasons, received a special word of mention for his services with the club.

“It’s well known that we’re moving to full time structures next season and that will not suit everyone,” manager John Caulfield told the club’s website.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to the lads and wish them well,” he concluded.
