Ireland under-21 Danny Grant confirms he is to leave Bohemians

Republic of Ireland under-21 winger Danny Grant has confirmed that he is to leave Bohemians after a four-year spell at Dalymount Park.

Grant departs the Gypsies after enjoying a stellar 2020 campaign for Keith Long’s charges – helping them to a second placed league finish.

As recently as last month, the 21-year-old played for the Ireland under-21s against Iceland at Tallaght Stadium.

The winger joined Bohs from Leinster Senior League side Bangor Celtic in July 2017, initially linking up with Bohs’ under-19s.

His first senior appearance for the club came in a friendly against Drogheda United – and his final one for the club came in Bohs’ FAI Cup quarter-final defeat to Dundalk.

“One of the toughest decisions I’ll make to leave this amazing club,” Grant said on Twitter tonight.

“4 special years that feel like 10. So grateful for all the people I have met during my time at the club who have helped me get to this point.”

He added: “I look forward to watching the club to go in the right direction and supporting from abroad.”
