Former Bray Wanderers youngster Shane Flynn named in Leicester City squad for Europa League tie in Ukraine

Former Bray Wanderers youngster Shane Flynn has been named in Leicester City’s Europa League squad ahead of Thursday’s group stage clash against Zorya.

The former St Joseph’s Boys schoolboy made one appearance for Bray in the Premier Division before moving on to Leicester City in 2018.

His sole senior competitive game for the Seagulls came in their 4-0 defeat away to Cork City at Turners Cross.

He was brought on as a late second-half sub for the then Graham Kelly managed side.

Since then, Flynn has played for the Leicester under-18s and under-23s before earning his first call up to Brendan Rodger’s first-team.

The Foxes will take on the Ukrainians on Thursday evening as they look to win Group G after securing qualification last week against Braga.
