FAI confirm one positive Covid-19 case ahead of England friendly
The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) have confirmed that a player has tested positive for Covid-19 in the latest round of testing.
The player in question has no close contacts and the rest of the staff and squad have all returned negative results.
A statement from the FAI read: “The Football Association of Ireland can confirm that one member of the senior men's international team has tested positive for COVID-19.
“There are no close contacts of the player and the rest of the staff & squad tested negative ahead of Thursday's match against England.”
