Bohemians confirm player tests positive for Covid-19

Title-chasing Bohemians have confirmed that a first-team player has tested positive for Covid-19, and one further player is self-isolating as a result.

The Gypsies confirmed in a statement this evening that the player tested positive on October 10th but had last trained with the team on October 6th.

The player will remain in self-isolation until he is permitted to return to training on October 20th.

The player, and the close-contact are both asymptomatic according to the statement. The close-contact tested negative and will also return to training on October 20th.

Bohs have also confirmed in the statement that their game away to Dundalk on Friday evening will proceed as planned.
