Europa League Round-Up: Dean Ebbe scores as TNS suffer defeat against Faroese opposition

Dubliner Dean Ebbe scored and grabbed an assist but his efforts were not enough as TNS crashed to a Europa League defeat at the hands of Faroese side B36 Torshavn.

The Welsh side went behind in the 47th minute through Michal Przbylski’s opener. They soon levelled with Ebbe setting up Leo Smith to score in the 81st minute.

The former Longford Town man then scored what looked like an extra-time winner in the 112th minute, but the Saints were pulled back in the 120th minute by Stefan Radoslevic.

They would lose the resulting shootout to ensure that their latest European odyssey has ended in the Faroe Islands.

Elsewhere, Dutch side Willem II saw off Shamrock Rovers’ former Europa League foes Progres Niederkorn by a comfortable five-nil scoreline.

And finally, Polish side Lech Poznan won out three-nil winners over Swedes Hammarby with two late goals aiding their cause.
