Malahide United clinch first Leinster Senior League Senior Sunday title with win over Newbridge Town

Dublin side Malahide United have secure their first ever Leinster Senior League Senior Sunday title following a win over Newbridge Town on Friday evening.

Malahide secured a 5-0 win, ensuring that second placed St Mochta’s could not catch the all-conquering Malahide side.

United have completed their league campaign with 59 points to their name, including 18 wins, five draws and three losses.

They took the lead this evening through Cillian Timmins before their lead was doubled by Cillian Thompson.

Jamie McGlynn made it 3-0 while a second from Timmins made it four on the night. Jordi Ebanda added the gloss to a dominant win for the hosts with their fifth.
