Former Bohemians midfielder Fuad Sule has signed a two-year contract extension with Northern Irish Premiership side Larne.

Sule joined Bohemians after departing St Patrick’s Athletic underage set-up before asserting himself as one of the key components in Keith Long’s side.

He then moved to Barnet after a successful stint at Dalymount Park – but he would only remain at Barnet until January 2019.

He then joined Larne on loan before he signed a permanent deal with Larne ahead of the 2019/20 season.

The 23-year-old midfielder told Larne’s media team after signing a new deal: “Since I have been here from day one the club have looked after me.

“The love and care they have shown me, from the fans to the manager, the owner and my team-mates has been unreal.

“The club told me they see me playing a massive part in bringing European football and trophies to Larne, our ambitions are aligned so I wanted to be a part of that.”

And Larne manager Tiernan Lynch added: “Fuad was already contracted until next summer but it is a sign of the faith we have in him and his progress at the club that we wanted to ensure his stay is even longer than that.

“Fuad signing the new contract is also a great sign of faith on his behalf as well, showing that he really believes in what we’re doing.

“We have no doubt that other clubs would have been very interested in him if his contract was to run into its last six months, so this gives everyone certainly and allows us to press on.”
