Stephen Kenny names Ireland squad as both Idah and Molumby earn call-ups

Republic of Ireland boss Stephen Kenny has named his squad as senior manager this morning, with both Adam Idah and Jayson Molumby earning call-ups.

Meanwhile, midfielders Glenn Whelan and Jack Byrne have both been omitted from the squad ahead of the Nations League games against Bulgaria and Finland.

James McCarthy, Harry Arter, Shane Long and Darragh Lenihan all return to the squad however.

Sheffield United forward David McGoldrick will link up with the squad ahead of the game against Finland pending his recovery from injury.

Troy Parrott – who is on loan at Millwall – and Bristol City’s Callum O’Dowda have also been called up to Kenny’s squad.

Forwards: Callum Robinson (Sheffield United), Callum O’Dowda (Bristol City), James McClean (Stoke City), Aaron Connolly (Brighton and Hove Albion), Adam Idah (Norwich City), Troy Parrott (Tottenham Hotspur – on loan at Millwall), Shane Long (Southampton).
