Watch: Ricardo Dinanga's piece of solo magic in injury time of extra time sees Cork City past Longford Town n the FAI Cup

Ricardo Dinanga’s dramatic 121st-minute winner saw Cork City into the draw for the second round of the FAI Cup at the expense of a heartbroken Longford Town.

The striker produced a moment of calm, individual brilliance to settle the tie at the death when it looked certain to come down to a penalty shoot-out.

City had played the guts of 45 minutes with ten men following the sending-off of Graham Cummins late in the second half of normal time and appeared to have done enough to force a shoot-out.

Manager Neale Fenn, facing his former club for the first time since walking out on them for Cork last August, also lost impressive on-loan defender Joseph Olowu in extra time.

18-year-old Dinanga, who had been introduced as a substitute moments before the red card, had designs on finishing without the need for penalties when he picked the ball up wide on the right.

He drove into the box, sat down defender Joe Gorman with clever feet and lashed an unstoppable shot into the top corner to send his teammates into raptures.

Longford, who had looked the more likely to score through normal time, had little time to force an equaliser and City join Dundalk and Finn Harps in the hat for tomorrow’s draw.
