Wexford sign Jack Larkin on loan

Wexford have announced the signing of Jack Larkin on loan from Waterford.

The midfielder joined The Blues at the age of 15 and began playing for their Under 17 team.

He captained the side to a Mark Farren Cup Final win in 2017 and was a part of the Waterford Under 19 squad that went on to win the League in 2019.

The 20 year old was named in the squad that faced Cabinteely last night and got a chance to see his new teammates in action for the first time as they held the First Division leaders to a 0-0 draw.

"It was the first time I was around the lads so it was nice to see what the team is about,” Larkin said, speaking to the club’s website.

“I thought we knocked the ball around nicely and defended well and with a bit of luck we could have won the game.

“I'm looking forward to training with the team and getting going with Wexford, hopefully we can knock on and go on a good run."

Wexford travel to Tallaght Stadium to take on Shamrock Rovers II on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3pm).
