Simon Power joins Kings Lynn Town on loan from Norwich

Former UCD winger Simon Power has re-joined English non-league outfit Kings Lynn Town from parent club Norwich City.

Power is an Irish under-21 international and was recently called up to Stephen Kenny’s under-21 squad.

The 22-year-old Greystones native featured eight times for Kings Lynn Town last season as the Linnets earned promotion to the National League.

The eight-time Irish underage international’s return to Kings Lynn will be a welcome boost to manager Ian Culverhouse who has been busy getting his side ready for the new campaign in waiting.

Kings Lynn Town’s Director of Football Rob Back said on Power’s return: “We are all delighted that Simon will be coming back to us for next season.

“The exciting thing is that we only saw a glimpse of Simon in his short spell with us and we all look forward to seeing him back in the Blue & Gold.”

Simon made his league debut for UCD against his former side Cabinteely in July of 2016 and went on to make 3 league appearances that season.

In February 2017 he was named in Collie O'Neill's senior panel for the upcoming First Division campaign.

And in late December 2017, Norwich announced that they had signed Power on a deal until the end of the 2020 season.
