FAI confirm nominees for Three International Awards

The nominees for the 2019 ‘Three’ FAI International Awards were announced on the FAI website this morning.

The 30th annual awards were due to take place earlier in the year but will now not take place due to social distancing protocols.

The ‘Three’ FAI International Awards celebrate the performances of players in the previous international season.

Sheffield United duo David McGoldrick and Enda Stevens both received a nod for their efforts last season alongside international veteran Glenn Whelan, who only extended his deal with Fleetwood Town this week.

In the senior women’s category Arsenal’s Katie McCabe and Denise O’Sullivan, who is currently on loan to Australian club Western Sydney Wanderers from NWSL side North Carolina Courage, are both included alongside Louise Quinn who today put pen to paper with Fiorentina.

The winners of each category are due to be announced next week as well as those presented with the ‘Hall of Fame’ and ‘Special Merit’ awards.
