Northern Irish international Ciaron Brown joins Livingston on loan from Cardiff City

Livingston have signed Northern Ireland International Ciaron Brown on loan from Cardiff City for a third time.

Brown made his international debut in September's 1-0 over Luxembourg at Windsor Park as he was drafted in from the Under-21 squad.

Brown qualifies to play for Northern Ireland through his mother as he was brought up in London starting his career at Bedfont Sports before making the move to Wealdstone.

From there he impressed and was picked up by Championship side Cardiff City.

He had previously teamed up with the Lions in the January of the 2018-19 season and then again in the January of the 2019-20 season but due to the coronavirus pandemic only made 11 appearances as the season was cut short.

He told the clubs official website: “I just feel like it is homely, very welcoming.

“Once you get to know a place, you get comfortable there and each season is a new test, new goals and it is just nice to be involved.

“I am very pleased. I like the club, I like everyone involved with the club so it is just nice to be back, see some familiar faces, new faces.

“I just can’t wait to get going.”

He becomes the clubs second signing this week as they brought in Polish Max Stryjek who was once on the books of Sunderland.

Livingston start their new Scottish Premiership season a week on Saturday as they travel to St Mirren.
