Graham Cummins departs Waterford by mutual consent

Graham Cummins has left Waterford by mutual consent the club have announced.

The Cork man had only re-signed for his second spell at the club at the start of the 2020 season but with new manager John Sheridan arriving yesterday, the decision has clearly been taken to part ways.

Cummins, was in his second spell at the RSC having first donned the Blues jersey during the 2009 campaign before a move to Cork City which ultimately would ignite his career. The forward would go on to enjoy a prolific spell on Leeside before earning a move across the water to Preston in 2012 – a club he would remain with until May 2014.

Cummins, however, would only score four times in 31 appearances for Preston during a spell in which he would spend most of his last season out on loan with Rochdale.

A move to Exeter would be his next stop before St Johnstone in Scotland came calling.

However, in 2018 he returned home to Cork City, before a short term move to Tallaght Stadium would see him finish out the 2019 season.

Cummins will now be hoping to find a replacement club before the League of Ireland resumes at the end of the month.
