Kieran O'Hara released but Ethan Galbraith signs on with Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed that Northern Ireland midfielder Ethan Galbraith will be staying with the club for the 2020/21 season.

The Red Devils Academy published their retained and released list on Thursday afternoon confirming that the Glengormley youngster will remain at Old Trafford. 

He has already made his senior debut for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in the Europa League against Astana in Azerbaijan November as he replaced Angel Gomes. 

He also made his senior Northern Ireland bow against Luxembourg in September. 

The midfielder impressed in the Premier League 2 for English giants in 2019-20 playing 15 times and scoring once. 

Galbraith has captained Northern Ireland Under 17s and has also featured for the U18 and 21s.

He has also won Manchester United's goal of the month award in April 2018 after his thumping effort against Manchester City Under 23's he beat Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez to the award. 

Meanwhile Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara has been released by the club, he has spent time on loan at Macclesfield Town and Burton Albion in the past two seasons. 

He made his Republic of Ireland debut against Bulgaria in September 2019.
