Players and staff from Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers and Derry City all test negative for Covid-19 in latest round of testing

Players and staff from Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers and Derry City have all tested negative for Covid-19 in the latest round of testing.

The results of Bohemians’ players and staff will be available on Monday.

FAI Medical Director Dr Alan Byrne was informed of yet another clear round after players and staff of both clubs were tested before their morning training session on Thursday.

There has yet to be a positive case found since the FAI began their pilot Covid-19 testing programme in May.

News of this latest development comes as both the FAI and all 19 league clubs continue to meet regarding a return to play financial package.

Cork City said yesterday that they would ‘examine and assess the information’ provided to them by the FAI before making a decision.

Elsewhere, Sligo Rovers have said that they will provide an update when it is appropriate to do so.
