FAI hold 'productive' meeting with all 19 clubs as talks are set to continue over the weekend on League return
The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed that they held a ‘productive’ meeting with all 19 League of Ireland clubs this afternoon.
The association met with clubs this afternoon to discuss how a proposed return to League of Ireland football may look in the coming months and weeks ahead.
“The Football Association of Ireland today held a productive meeting with the 19 SSE Airtricity League clubs to discuss the return to action for the League,” a statement read this evening.
“Talks will continue over the weekend. The FAI will make no further comment until these talks are concluded.”
The meeting comes just a day after it was confirmed that all four clubs who are due to take part in a behind closed tournament – Bohemians, Derry City, Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers – have reported no positive Covid-19 cases in the latest round of testing.
