Irish internationals Josh Cullen and Scott Hogan extend Championship loans

Republic of Ireland internationals Josh Cullen and Scott Hogan have extended their respective loan deals with Charlton and Birmingham City respectively.

Both players’ loan deals were due to expire at the beginning of June prior to the outbreak of Covid-19.

However, both Cullen and Hogan have extended their respective deals with Charlton and Birmingham.

Cullen, who is on loan from Premier League West Ham said on his loan extension: “It was quite straightforward for all parties involved.

“There is still a job to be done. There are nine massive games to go and it was always in my head to be a part of that. You want to finish what you started, and it’s been a long journey up until now, but it’s not finished.

“It was a straightforward decision and I feel like I owe it to the club. The fans have backed me from day one and been brilliant to me.

“Everyone around the club, the manager, the staff and the players are all fighting for the same goal so I’m really looking forward to the season getting restarted and finishing strong.”

Hogan returns to St Andrews from his parent club Aston Villa, and during his nine appearances for the club since January, he has scored seven goals for the Blues.

Elsewhere, Conor Coventry has confirmed that he has left League One Lincoln City following the forced conclusion of the Imps’ season.

Max O’Leary has also left Shrewsbury Town following his loan spell came to an end at the club.
