Bohemians -v- Shelbourne - Where can I watch it and what do I need to know?

There’s much more than just three league points on offer this evening as Shelbourne face fierce Northside rivals Bohemians at a sold-out Dalymount Park (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Gypsies go the better of the Reds in their last competitive outing back in August – and it wasn’t without its drama.

The Reds raced into an unassailable two-nil lead against Bohs in the FAI Cup, before the game turned on its head late on following the dismissal of Jaze Kabia.

Kabia was dismissed after a second yellow card in bizarre circumstances – before Keith Buckley halved the deficit on the 85th minute.

Daniel Mandroiu then popped up with the latest of late braces to secure an incredible victory for Bohemians.

Will there be similar drama on show this evening? Or will we have a slightly cagier affair this time around?

Who knows, but what we can be sure of is a red-hot atmosphere in Phibsborough once more.

Who are they key players to watch?

After an encouraging start to life back in the top-flight for Shelbourne, the Reds have unearthed a number of gems from the First Division.

Goalkeeper Jack Brady has impressed after his return to the club from Limerick, while Aaron Dobbs’ energy has proved decisive after his move from Longford.

However, it has been the likes of Gary Deegan and Luke Byrne who have proved to be talismanic for the Richmond Road outfit – and tonight they are expected to be utilised to their maximum.

The Gypsies have endured an indifferent start to the 2020 campaign, with two wins and two defeats thus far for Keith Long’s side.

However, in the absence of James Talbot, new recruit Stephen McGuinness has impressed.

Full back Anto Breslin is also expected to continue his recent form for the Gypsies, but Long’s side will be hoping that Daniel Mandroiu can replicate his previous heroics in this clash from August once more.

Team news:

The Gypsies will again be without James Talbot and Dinny Corcoran as they recover from their respective injuries while James Finnerty remains a doubt with a calf injury.

Daniel Byrne will be out for tonight’s games for the Reds while Shels goalscorer against St. Pat’s, Jaze Kabia will face a late fitness test.
