First Division Cobh Ramblers sign Darryl Walsh and Adam Foley

First Division Cobh Ramblers have unveiled the double signing of both Darryl Walsh and Adam Foley ahead of the start of the 2020 campaign.

Stuart Ashton has been busy during the transfer window, bringing in the likes of former Premier Division duo John Kavanagh and Pierce Phillips.

Defender Walsh joins the Rams from Munster rivals Waterford, with the Irish Colleges and Universities International once of Wexford as well.

“Everyone has been great so far and very welcoming to me,” Walsh said on his move to St Colman’s Park.

“Pre-season is going well, and I can’t wait for the league to get started.

“With the squad that we have there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be pushing for promotion.”

Also joining Cobh is forward Foley from Limerick. While at the Markets Field, Foley featured for Tommy Barrett’s first-team after rising through the ranks.

He joins the Rams alongside former Limerick teammate Lee Devitt – who just recently signed a deal with the Co. Cork side.

“I’m delighted to have signed for Cobh for the upcoming season,” Foley said.

“Stuart (Ashton) and the lads have been great to me over the past few weeks and have really helped me to settle in well here.

“I’m looking forward to playing a part in achieving a successful season this year for Ramblers.”
