Cabinteely duo Jack Hudson and Peter Quinlan re-sign for 2020

First Division Cabinteely have unveiled the re-signings of both Jack Hudson and Peter Quinlan ahead of the 2020 season.

Hudson enjoyed a breakthrough 2019 with the Green and White’s having come through the club’s underage system.

Quinlan also remains at the club for 2020 having featured heavily as Stephen McGuiness’ understudy last year.

“I’m happy to be back,” Hudson told his club’s media team. “We had a good season last year, and we’re just looking to push on now and have a really good year in 2020.

“It’s funny when you think about it like that (being at the club for four years). I’m only 20 but I’ve been here a long time so hopefully I can help whoever is here and learn from those around me.

“I’m looking forward to building on last year, and hopefully we can push on,” he added. “That was the aim last year (to surprise a few people), and we took a few people by surprise.

“Hopefully we can do the exact same next year. People will be a lot more aware of what we’re capable of so there will be a lot more respect to be shown hopefully.”

And goalkeeper Quinlan said on his return to Stradbrook for 2020; “I’m really looking forward to getting going now.

“We’ve been in pre-season for the last two or three weeks and it’s going well so far. We have a great squad and we’re looking forward to starting the new season.

“It was great to be with the first-team last year, I learned a lot and hopefully we can kick on this year, and push for promotion.”
