Caolan Loughran extends Carrick Rangers stay until 2021

Caolan Loughran has agreed to a contract extension with NIFL Premiership club Carrick Rangers.

The new deal will see the defender remain with the club until the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Loughran initially joined the ‘Gers on loan from Ballymena United at the start of the 2018/2018 Championship season and, having won promotion through the playoffs, he signed permanently once his contract expired at Ballymena last summer.

The 25 year old has made 51 appearances for the club so far, scoring 12 goals.

“I am delighted to sign on with the Club for next season. Carrick Rangers are going places and I want to be a part of that,” Loughran said, speaking to the club’s website.

“I have enjoyed my football the most here at the Club; they have stuck by me in the good and bad times and that is what makes this Club so special.

“I have to thank the players, management staff and the fans for making my time here so enjoyable.”

‘Gers midfielder Daniel Kelly also agreed a contract extension with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season which the club announced yesterday.
