Former Liverpool forward Glen McAuley makes Dalymount switch

Former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland under-19 forward Glen McAuley has joined Bohemians.

McAuley spent the closing months of the 2019 campaign with St Patrick’s Athletic, where he scored once in eight appearances for the Saints.

He made his final bow for the Athletic in their heavy 4-0 final day of the season defeat away to Dundalk.

The 19-year-old was named in the starting XI on three occasions, before coming off the bench in five other games.

McAuley only lasted the full ninety minutes on one league occasion for the Saints, before being an unused substitute in two games.

The forward joins Keith Long’s charges who have added a number of acquisitions to their ranks in recent weeks.

Anto Breslin from Longford Town, Stephen McGuinness of Cabinteely, Kris Twardek of Sligo Rovers and JJ Lunney from Waterford have all joined the Gypsies recently.

Long will also be boosted that the likes of Keith Ward, Any Lyons and Ross Tierney have all re-signed for another term at Dalymount Park.
