Lee Grace signs three-year contact extension as Hoops provide squad update ahead of 2020

Shamrock Rovers Head Coach Stephen Bradley has confirmed that defender Lee Grace has signed a new three-year contract with the club.

Bradley was speaking to RTÉ’s Game On, where he revealed that Grace had rejected three offers from elsewhere to re-sign for the FAI Cup holders.

“Lee (Grace) has committed to three years with us,” Bradley told RTÉ.  

“We're delighted. He had three offers from outside of the country. When he came back from holiday he rang and said he wanted to sign.

"He didn't want to do any of them. He’s happy and wants to push on. We’re delighted because he is a top player. He is a leader, a real man.

"He has so many really strong attributes that are important in our dressing-room. Players listen to him. Staff listen to him.

"On the pitch, he calms us down and gets us playing. He is a great age for us, and we’re delighted he has committed to us for the next three years.”

Meanwhile, the Hoops have also confirmed that their confirmed playing squad for 2020, with Greg Bolger re-signing for the Dublin 24 outfit.

Dean Williams is also expected to feature a considerable amount next term having impressed in the First Division with both Athlone Town and Bray Wanderers.
